This is a late post , its been a month delay. Forgive me , really!

Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day meet again this year. We dint plan to celebrate as it was on Day3 of CNY. I think we are busy visiting relatives house instead. So we had dinner together at Shangri-La Hotel. Is a buffet dinner , hubby booked a week ahead.
Is this Valentine dinner or Chinese New Year dinner? Hahaha ~ 

I've been there 3years ago and the buffet dinner was very good that time. This time I went the crowd gets too much and the tables are too near to each other. Food is okay, but it can get messy especially at the sashimi & oyster sections.

This mall has the longest escalators in Thailand, up to 36 metres.
 

This floor is reserved for luxury brands and brand name boutiques, concept is Heaven of Rome. It decorated sculptures with marble mythic of Roman statues and well-known paintings.

It's Champs-Élysées Boulevard and Parisian Boutiques Streets concept, served for Thai designer's boutiques and beauty shops. It decorated sculptures with Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower.

  1st Floor – TOKYO 

Pretty mummy is in the Harajuku Inspired Restroom. YES, that is a mirror behind her!

 This floor is concept of Nakamise-Dōri Market and Harajuku Town. It reserved for ladies' boutiques, decorated sculptures with Sumo, Torii and Maneki Neko.

3rd Floor – ISTANBUL

 This floor is Istanbul Market Town concept, decorated with Istanbul's lamps. It reserved for mini-shops of shoes, bags, jewellery, gifts and decoration products. 

 4th & 5th Floor - SAN FRANCISCO 

4th floor concept is Chinatown of San Francisco. It decorated sculptures with San Francisco Trams and Golden Gate Bridge, served for Thailand's famous restaurants. Where else 5th floor reserved for international restaurants and food court of Pier21. It decorated with seaports and fisherman village, concept is Fisherman Village of San Francisco.

You can never guess what I enjoyed most here. The RESTROOM's !!!!!!

Toilet hopping may be the last thing you’ll probably be unless you happen to have an upset stomach. I don’t think no one in their right minds would enjoy toilet hopping. Only the crazy ones like me. When you happen to travel to Thailand and you run out of things to do in Bangkok, why not try toilet hopping at Terminal 21. One of the highlights of this new shopping mall is to check on the restrooms of each floor. Each floor has a theme of some very special design rest rooms, all with automatic wash-let.

Gosh ~ this picture really prove that I've gained so much weight recently.

Getting to the roof on the 64th floor during the night and enjoy the amazing view of Bangkok under the live music of the orchestra. The Sky Bar is the world's highest open air bar, overlooking a panoramic view of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River. Situated right on the river side with breath taking views on all sides of the city. A must see and do! but again , it is incredibly crowded, everyone in a tiny space by the bar. I didn't quite know what to expect, the panoramic views were great! The security and bar staff were a bit stroppy about you taking pictures between the exit from the lift and arriving at the bar area. It is for health and safety reasons and privacy of the dinners.

Amazing neon bar and dining area just under 2 golden domes sets the scene for a really nice evening.Most drinks cost between 320-500 Bahts. Its expensive if you dine there ,  heard that a meal up there can cost more than 18,000baht, but the Sky Bar is opened to public without reservations. Try get there for sunset. It opens at 6pm.

 An amazing view of Bangkok! Best done at night so you see it all lit up.

Dress Code , smart casual. Make an effort with dress code, it's a beautiful venue so don't rock up in shorts, vests and flip flops as the won't let you in.

 However, the experience of being up so high and only being held in with glass walls was fun.

Unique based on my experience , LOVE the view but too crowded. 

 

 The Ninth Café, established in 1997, is a trendy restaurant which has successfully been operating in 3 prime locations , Soi Lansuan, Siam Paragon and Siam Discovery. We went to the Soi Langsuan branch as it was next to our Hotel (Hotel Muse,Bangkok). Is about 5minute walk.  The food was delicious and the waiters were very polite! When we were leaving the Thai head waiter (or probably the manager) even approached us asking us how the food was. The menu is quite large and there is so much choices and no pictures , so its kinda difficult to choose which to eat.

 The restaurant THE NINTH CAFE is decorated in a modern style with a smart and trendy look.There is a nice garden outside with a terrace set with additional tables for al fresco dining.It offers a wide range of choices with Thai as well as international selections.It also offers mouth-watering home-made cakes and ice creams.Reservation is recommended for dinner.

I love spaghetti so much so my choice will be ham and mushroom pasta.

Bestie choice of fried rice , forgotten what is it called , but it was delicious.

and mum's choice of Seabass for her dinner.

A venue highly recommended for good food, reasonable pricing about RM100 for 3person and we ordered appetizer too, efficient staff, good setting almost like fine dining, everything is just perfect.

 Will definitely come back there to eat!

This is the very time Bestie joined me to Bangkok. It has been a long day with flight, shopping, dinner, massage and finally, we're checking into our nest, bed oh bed! This time we stay at the same location that is soi languan but different hotel. We choose Hotel Muse , because the picture just attract us so much and the truth is , the hotel really is different compare others. The minute you walk in and walk out from the hotel , is like entering and coming out from a another world.

 

The toilet decoration and design is just so outstanding!!!

Its time to say GOOD NIGHT & Sweet dreams Bangkok !

Just last Sunday we decided to go for mother & baby expo at KLCC convention center. Since we already at KL so we decided to drop by Pavilion for our dinner.  Ippudo Ramen has finally opened at Pavilion level4 on 21 Febuary 2013 , next to Chatime. Ramen lovers will be salivating in 2013 as famous Japanese ramen franchise Ippudo is set to open its first Malaysian outlet here. Touted as one of Japan’s top ramen brands! This has also become a massive hit for ramen. No shock, since Ippudo KL amassed over 2,000 Facebook fans even before their opening.

I think I queued for 30min , no choice because I wanted to try it so badly ever since they opened last week. Everyone was saying is the BEST RAMEN I've ever had. How could I not try?!

 Akamaru Shinaji Ramen RM28  

This Akamaru Shinaji seems to be the favourite. Hubby ordered this.

Akamaru - a modern take on a classic. This deeply flavorful ramen is made with IPPUDO's famous Tonkotsu Broth and our homemade Hakata-style noodles. It's topped with our secret 'Umami Dama' for an extra hit of savoriness and 'Koyu' fragrant garlic oil to deepen the aroma. Finished with chashu pork, fresh shallots, and kikurage mushrooms. This ramen is not to be missed!

 The service team is spectacular, efficient with smiles & consideration at all times.

Decoration is very nice and neat. Maybe is a Sunday , I find it a bit too noisy because it was pack and the music is played loudly. I know many people compared Hokkaido Santouka & Ippudo , to me I really like both. One thing for sure Hokkaido Santouka serve better chasu , their pork’s cheek cut is so soft and tender that they literally melt in your mouth when consumed. Its really hard for me to choose!
May be another few more visit could tell?
