Ngong Ping 昂坪 360 & Tian Tan Buddha 天坛大佛

As the gateway to Lantau, Ngong Ping Cable Car is destined to be one of Hong Kong's 'must see' attractions, including Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery.  Ngong Ping 360 serves to connect Tung Chung, on the north coast of Lantau and itself linked to central Hong Kong by the Tung Chung rail line, with the Ngong Ping area in the hills above. The cable car journeyis about 25minutes.During the 25 minute journey, travellers can see panoramic views over the North Lantau Country Park, the South China Sea, Hong Kong International Airport, the Tung Chung valley, Ngong Ping Plateau and surrounding terrain and waterways.

How to get there? MTR Tung Chung Station, Exit B. Walk for approximately five minutes to the Tung Chung Cable Car Terminal.
The purpose is not taking the cable car ride , is about visiting the Tian Tan Buddha  天坛大佛. The fastest and easiest way is by talking the cable car only. Entering the Ngong Ping village and About 5minutes you will see the Tian Tan Buddha.
Tian Tan Buddha, also known as the Big Buddha, is a large bronze statue of a Buddha Amoghasiddhi, completed in 1993, and located at Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, in Hong Kong. The statue is located near Po Lin Monastery and symbolises the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and religion. It is a major centre of Buddhism in Hong Kong, and is also a popular tourist attraction
Opposite the statue, the Po Lin Monastery is one of Hong Kong’s most important Buddhist sanctums and has been dubbed ‘the Buddhist World in the South’. Home to many a devout monk, this monastery is rich with colourful manifestations of Buddhist iconography and its pleasant garden is alive with birdsong and flowery scents. You can also enlighten your appetite at their popular vegetarian restaurant.

Hui Lau Shan 許留山 (HK)

So like I say , I'm at Hong Kong for the last few days how could I miss the Hui Lau Shan 許留山 there? Is everywhere when you walking the street , it yummy compare the one I had in Malaysia. Who doesn't love mango? I don't know about you all but me and family loves mango , especially my brother he love the dessert here very much. In case you miss out my previous post about Hui Lau Shan I blogged when I was at HK 2011. Here I'm gonna post it again , my second visit to Hui Lan Shan when I was HK 2012. Hui Lau Shan is the most popular and famous healthy dessert restaurant in Hong Kong. It's known for fresh fruit, especially mango.
Mango pudding
Sago in mango , with extra mango.
Mango Sampler Platter. This is a good idea if you want to sample other items. It comes with these 3 standard desserts so you can’t chose. If you know what you like here, than there’s not point on ordering this because they have better stuff than what’s on this sampler platter.
Don't worry about the location , because they have multiple locations in Hong Kong… almost everywhere! Price range about 10-50HKD. Don't try the one in Malaysia , somehow the mango they use is very different compared the one I had in Hong Kong. They really ruin the taste!

Yee Shun Milk Company 義順牛奶公司 (HK)

Ring ring ring the bells . . . . Oh Christmas is near and I'm here at Hong Kong for 3 days with the family. Enjoy the breezy cooling weather here , when we are cold we would like to have something nice and warm. So we decided to stop by Yee Shun Milk Company 義順牛奶公司 . Apparently mum dad found this restaurant few years back when they were at Hong Kong so now they brought us here to try. Yes is MILK and surprisingly it taste really good! Good until I ordered another bowl. Yee Shun's stewed milk is truly amazing!
Don't worry they have english menu too , you can ask them.
Double Stewed milk (雙皮燉奶) go for warm.
The Double Stewed Milk has the strongest milk flavor among all its product and its smoothness is uncomparable. The texture is the thickest as no additional ingredients are added to it. Good texture , very soft and smooth. Wonder how they cook it. $25 for a bowl. Good enough for the price that you're paying. I would eat this anytime compared to any expensive restaurants that sells the same things. I heard some review saying that the warm Ginger steamed milk is nice too.
I also ordered Ham noodles because I am hungry. Look like normal Maggie mee with a ham on top right? But trust me , the taste is totally different! No wonder those copy-cat Hong Kong noodle selling at Malaysia are not sell able. Now I know why , although is simple but they add some kind of oil in it ,  the whole noodle taste very different compare I eat at Kim Gary those. They have some Hong Kong style sandwiches and food too
Don't expect service. They rush you , but is normal since you are at Hong Kong. Share table , rush order , eat fast & get out fast. We stayed near Causeway bay , so we went to the Yee Shun branch at Causeway bay. If you're interested ,  take Causeway Bay MTR exit C then turn right. Address is right below.

The Social Bistro , Bangsar.

Christmas is just around the corner , so what's plan? Christmas is always my favorite holiday , the whole December is all about joy and love. Even there is plan or not , I still enjoy when Christmas month falls. So we celebrate Christmas earlier this year. The whole family went for a Christmas dinner at The Social , Bangsar. The Social Bangsar is located in the center of the popular Bangsar nightlife and restaurant area and is always well patronized by mixture of expats and locals. Good casual dining , outdoor tables overlooking Jalan Telawi , an open bar at the front and inside pool tables and also larger TV screen for sport around the bar.
Signature dish for years has been the crispy duck pancakes with plum sauce. My favorite as well!
Viinc choice , Lamb rogan josh.
The social mix grill.
My choice Spaghetti carbonara with smoked salmon
Walnut brownie with vanilla ice-cream.
That's all for the night ,
the social mix grill was very meaty everyone were very bloated on that night.
