Kinetic Rain at Singapore’s Changi Airport. It claim to be the world largest kinetic rain but it drop my eye , because it wasn't that big only. Kinetic Rain was commissioned as a calming centerpiece for the airport’s departure hall. The sculpture looks pretty cool, and I would love to see if it does provide for any kind of self-reflection.
Kinetic Rain is composed of two parts, each consisting of 608 rain
droplets made of lightweight aluminum covered with copper. Suspended
from thin steel ropes above the two opposing escalators, each droplet is
moved precisely by a computer-controlled motor hidden in the hall’s
ceiling. The entire installation spans an area of more than 75 square meters and spreads over 7.3 meters in height. The installation is by German art studio ART+COM.
Trip to Singapore last week with mua Bestie & mummy and
this is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen lately.
