Celadon Royal Thai Cuisine
July 10, 2011I had such a fun fun Sunday , after all the 6days working like shit FINALLY ITS SUNDAY again. We went to KL for shopping at Sungei Wang & Times Square , its been long since the last visit there. Surprisingly I shop allot , bought few pieces of clothes again. Then during the night , we headed to Pavilion for dinner. Was walking with no idea where to eat , then we bump into this Thai cuisine and I miss Thai food allot, so we decided to have dinner here. Dint know Viinc never actually tried Thailand food before , all he know is Tomyam Gong only.
Its kinda rare to find Thai restaurant in shopping malls , but this particular Celadon located at Pavilion is a Royal Thai fine dining. The interior was a BOOM! Everything was very well design , every side & angle. Lovely multi colors cushion , beautiful lights and chandeliers and lots of woods, windows plus a tasteful addition of glass and steel functioning as wine racks took my breath away.
This time I do the ordering , because he don't know anything about Thai food so let's see what I've ordered ,
This is fried bean curd with Thai special chili sauce on top. If it would be more crispier then I think this is fantastic.
Tom Yam Kung Nam Khon is a MUST HAVE! Its a tomyam soup with prawns & mushroom in it. You can choose either thick or clear soup. I choose clear because the thick version has coconut milk and I don't like coconut milk. This is portion for 2 , kinda small but definitely a real kick! Still craving for more .
We also had Pandan Chicken that cost RM16.90 for four pieces. They were well seasoned and marinated so they were not salty at all. He like this allot!
Sweet & spicy sauce that come with the Pandan chicken. Goes very well with it !
and lastly our dessert , the very famous Thailand dessert. That is mango serve with sticky rice. Its my mum's favourite! I remember every single day when we were at Thailand she used to have this for her lunch & dinner also.
Overall , this is just a normal Thai food for me but not for Viinc because he never tried before. I've been to Thailand so many time , have their food so many time & also so many different places. This was just a normal Thai food. Unlike they called it Royal Thai Cuisine. Expect for the food , the place its a really a fine dining beside that I don't think its a Royal Thai Cuisine. Dining ambiance and service was very good. Its a GOOD Thai food but definitely not a Royal Thai food! Prices here are slightly higher but its still affordable.
