OSAKA Day5 - Tempozan & Kaiyukan Aquarium
December 06, 2013
こんにちは! Good afternoon!
So this is the 5th day at Osaka , today our aim is to visit Kaiyukan, it is one of the largest public aquariums in the world! Before that I bought myself "Milky" soft ice-cream. This brand is kinda famous , so I've decided to try and the ice-cream is really not bad! The texture is so smooth!!! Anyway back to the topic , before we headed to Kaiyukan , we went to Tempozan Ferris Wheel. It is also one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world with 100m in diameter. On this giant observation wheel you can get a panoramic view of the sea , mountain and the entire city of Osaka.
The ride lasts 17 minutes and costs ¥700 for passengers 3 years old and over. There are 60 cars which hold 8 passengers each, and several are barrier-free. The usual hours of operation are 10 am to 10 pm. It is only a few minutes walk from the Osakako Station of the Osaka Municipal Subway Chuo Line and is the same area as the Kaiyukan Aquarium.
Next to the Tempozan ferris wheel is the Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium which is considered as one of the largest aquarium in the world! Osaka Aquarium or Kaiyukan 〔海遊館)is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Osaka and probably in the whole Japan for aquariums. It is located in Osaka bay area. This aquarium is famous for its various displays of marine life which is organized in a very impressive way.
Admission fee is
Adult 2300yen & Children 1200yen
Chinese giant salamander
Somehow I find this creature very interesting because I have no idea what is this. Look like guine pig but much bigger , doesn't look like dog but is like a size a dog. Face abit look like hamster and amazing part is they swim! They called it hydrochoerus hydrochaeris.
Jelly fish are so cute!!!!! and they changes color so often.
Right before the exit, there is a big fish tank which contains mainly sharks and stingrays. They allow people to touch the fish but I don't dare. Anyway here is cute little daddy keep touching all the stingray.
Advice , go there early so you can watch all the performance and feeding session. Its much more interesting then just walking around. We went there late afternoon so we missed lots of the show & feeding session. We manage to watch 3 feeding session only.
How sad is it?!
