September 04, 2012

After done our breakfast at 8am we start out journey to the famous floating market. If you are at Bangkok , floating market is a must to visit. I've been there before , but they haven't , so I'll just join them because we are traveling together. Located about 100km southwest away from Bangkok, there is this most famous floating market called Damnoen Saduak Floating market. Entrance fees , is depends on the package you take. Total is six of us , we get slightly low price from them because of our big group. The price we pay for is 1200bath per person include the floating market , elephant village and also visit the temple near the market. Normal price is 1500 bath per person for this full package. Try and nego , who knows you can get 1200bath or even lower? Hahaha....

Damnoen Saduak, the biggest and most popular of all the floating market. The journey from the city to here is about 1hour 30minute.  Damnoen Saduak Floating Market is a very attractive place for tourists to see traditional way of selling and buying goods in Thailand.
Floating markets offer fascinating cultural experiences as well as glimpses into the local way of life of a bygone era. They sell lots of many weird things here. See the picture and you will know what am I saying.  LOL!

Next they will stop us for our elephant ride at the Elephant village.

I know that the most famous places for elephant trekking are the northern provinces, like Chiangmai and Chiangrai, but if you dont have the time to go up there , Bangkok also is great! I’m not necessarily looking for trekking, but at least a ride will satisfy our experience right ? Elephant ride is a routine job for elephants. You will sit on the wooden bench so is not a problem for anyone who has a knee problem. Your guide will be more than happy to take photos for you from your own cameras. This is what he take for us , there are much more but I just upload the nice one only. Enjoy!
First time elephant ride with Dear !!!  Happy :)
Ohh , the elephant goes to the water too. Lucky I'm not wet!
Experience it yourself , 30minute elephant ride and you can even touch, feed, and interact with the baby elephants. We saw at least 30 different elephants. Besides that you can also watch the elephant shit non-stop while walking and their shit is as big as your head.

Gooooooshhh that freak me out for a moment !
